Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

Scripture

James 1:5-8New International Version (NIV)

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Observation
Ask and you will receive.  You need to have faith in what you want so that you can receive it.

Application
You do not know everything. Ask GOD and he will educate you. However you need to trust in GOD that he will provide you the answers that you seek in order to receive them.  Build up your FAITH in GOD and the WORD so that you can find what you seek.

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?

and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,
