March Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 3

Scripture
20 So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun.

21 For a person may labor with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then they must leave all they own to another who has not toiled for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune.

Observation
You will not gain any satisfaction nor peace when you strive only to achieve worldly possessions. It only causes more pain and misery.

Application
Nothing that we have here on earth lasts forever. There is so many things here that we think that we can bring along but unfortunately it is not possible.
It is best to focus on cultivating the individual and personal qualities rather then
what is perceived as important by the world's standards.

Prayer

Dear GOD,
Keep my focus on what is important and help me be discipline enough to follow through what is expected of me.
AMEN.

March Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 2

Scripture
18 I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me. 19 And who knows whether that person will be wise or foolish? Yet they will have control over all the fruit of my toil into which I have poured my effort and skill under the sun. This too is meaningless.

Observation

What physical stuff that we accumulate with us in this lifetime cannot be taken along to the next. We also don't know what we have gathered will be put to good use by the next who inherit it.

Application

Focus on how to beautify your soul more then your surroundings. Don't waste your time on earthly pursuits which will not be of any benefit to you in the long run. Follow the WORD of GOD as that is the only true thing that will give you what you need in this life.

Prayer

Dear LORD,
thank you for the awakening. It is certainly better to have the wisdom and stand apart then just blindly follow the mass and never get any satisfaction in the end.

AMEN.

March Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 1

Scripture
Ecclesiastes 2:12-13

Then I turned my thoughts to consider wisdom,    and also madness and folly.
What more can the king’s successor do    than what has already been done?
13 I saw that wisdom is better than folly,   just as light is better than darkness.

Observation
It is always better to be wise then be foolish. There are a lot of things that have to be done which is best to know how to do it then just go along blindly.

Application

Being knowledgeable is certainly better than ignorance. To understand what we are facing we can be prepared against the evils of the world. We also know how what GOD wants and how to follow him.

Prayer
Dear GOD,
thank you for granting me the wisdom that I see so that I am able to make informed decisions regarding how I should leave my life.

AMEN.

March Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 3

Scripture
Ecclesiastes1: 17-18

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind.
18 For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;     the more knowledge, the more grief.

Observation
With knowledge comes the fact that you won't be as tolerant as before to things that don't make sense. You are wise up to the evil and cruelty of the world and mankind. You are sadden that such madness does exist in the world and all the problems are man made.

Application

With understanding of wisdom comes a change of mindset. One can never go back to the age of innocence nor ignore the fact that EVIL does exist. What one can do is to try their best to turn away from evil and focus on GOOD.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
as my level of widsom increases I have gain a lot of insight into what is acceptable and what is not.

AMEN.

March Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture

Ecclesiastes 1:8-11

everything is unutterably weary and tiresome. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied; no matter how much we hear, we are not content.
History merely repeats itself. Nothing is truly new; it has all been done or said before. What can you point to that is new? How do you know it didn’t exist long ages ago? We don’t remember what happened in those former times, and in the future generations no one will remember what we have done back here.
Observation

Man forgets easily and by nature are not easily satisfied if one only goes for material and worldly possessions. Nothing that you have or done will be memorable if you use the world's measure.

Application
Detach yourself from the ways of the world. They are not something which you should be following but GOD's ways. Only by believing and living the WORD will you be truly satisfied.

Prayer

Dear LORD,
help me turn away from the ways of the world. To concentrate on what truly matters in life.

AMEN.

March Bible Studies- Week 1 Day 1

Scripture
Ecclesiastes 1:1-6

Everything Is Meaningless

The words of the Teacher,[a] son of David, king in Jerusalem:
“Meaningless! Meaningless!”     says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!     Everything is meaningless.”
What do people gain from all their labors     at which they toil under the sun?
Generations come and generations go,    but the earth remains forever.
The sun rises and the sun sets,     and hurries back to where it rises.
The wind blows to the south     and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,     ever returning on its course.
Observation

Do not get too attached to material stuff. They do not last nor really add genuine meaning to our lives.  They may be nice to have but not essential to our lives.

Application
Set your priorities. Know what really matters and what don't. The values that we have in life shape our being and how we live our lives.  Certain things like material things do not last forever.

Prayer

Dear GOD,
show me the real meaning of life and what is true necessity in my life. Let me not be swayed by the ways of the world and indulge in stuff that are totally unnecessary.
AMEN.
