James 4:4New International Version (NIV)

⁴ You adulterous people,^[a] don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Observation

 You can only  choose one or the other. Either follow God's World or the ways of the world. You cannot have both. 

Application

 Indulging in the ways of the world will only set you apart from GOD. Focus on what truly matters and do not seek pleasures in the temporary ways of the world.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

help me keep my focus on you and maintain my friendship with you instead of the ways of the world.
