Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

Jesus represents the Father. If you have seen him you would have seen the father.

Scripture

James 1:5-8New International Version (NIV)

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Observation
Ask and you will receive.  You need to have faith in what you want so that you can receive it.

Application

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
But I trust in your unfailing love;

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed;blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Observation
One has to see to believe. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to understand to just believe in what says when there is no evidence that it has happened or will be happening.

 Application
We are the lucky ones to be able to see GOD's work and not just listen / read his word. It is much easier for us to understand and follow coz we have visual proof. Let us do our best to carry out his teachings.
