Fear and Anxiety- March Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 4

Scripture

Isaiah 41:10 New International Version (NIV)

10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Observation

God is with us always. We need not be afraid. He will give us the support that we need and keep us strong. 

Application

Keep the faith and believe that GOD will take care of us. He will give us the support that we need and we can rely on him. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm grateful that you are here with me and that you continuously support me. 

AMEN.

Fear and Anxiety- Feb Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 3

Scripture

Proverbs 29:25 New International Version (NIV)

25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
    but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

Observation

Do not trap yourself through unfounded fear of man. GOD will protect you. 

Application. 

Put your trust in God and not man. He will never fail you and always keep you safe from harm.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm really grateful that you are always there for me ..encouraging me and guiding me in all ways.

AMEN.

Fear and Anxiety- Feb Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture

Proverbs 1:33 New International Version (NIV)

33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety
    and be at ease, without fear of harm.”

Observation

God will protect us if we listen to him.   He will keep us safe

Application

Pay attention to what GOD says and listen to his word. He will protect and keep you safe so that you are saved. 

Prayer

 Dear LORD,

thank you for giving me protection against the evils of this world. I really appreciate that you gave us the BIBLE as a guide to navigate us through this world.

Fear and Anxiety - Feb Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 1

Scripture

Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Observation

God has grand plans in store for us. He only wants the best for us if we follow him and his WORD.

Application

 Get to know GOD and his plans for you. It will do you good to study his word and take action on what you learn. 

Prayer

 Dear LORD,

open my eyes further to your ways and the wonders of your works. Let me be fully engulfed by your LOVE .

James Feb Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 5

Scripture

James 5:19-20 New International Version (NIV)

19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

Observation

Do good.  Try to help others turn away from sin if possible. 

Application

Try to lead the stray back to GOD . Let sinners see their errors and persuade them to repent. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

as I  draw closer to you help me turn away from sin and guide others to turn away too. AMEN. 

James Feb Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 4

Scripture
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Observation
Ask and you will find what you are seeking. Find comfort in GOD as he knows all and only wants the best for you.

Application
 Do what is suppose to be done. Don't be hesitant or procrastinate when you know what you should do. Pray for others so that they too can be saved and turn towards the LORD.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
Let me follow your WORD closely and guide me closely here on earth.
AMEN.

James Feb Bible Studies- Week 4 - Day 3

Scripture

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. 8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

Observation
GOD asks us to not be in a hurry and to be patient. Certain things take time to bear fruit.

 Application
 GOD tells us to wait. We need to curb our impatience and trust that he will see that whatever we sow bears fruit.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep strong and be patient while I wait for your coming.
AMEN.

James Feb Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 2

Scripture

Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.

Observation

The evil and wicked will get punished in due course. They may look like they are enjoying life now but it will not last. 

Application

GOD tells us not to be envious of the Rich and powerful as they will their just dessert for being so Worldly focused and not GOD focused. What they have in life now will not be replicated in the next life nor be valid forever. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Don't let me be swayed by the way of the world and be envious of rich people who are only messengers of the DEVIL and teaching all things that are not GODLY. Amen. 

James Feb Bible Studies - Week 4 - Day 1

Scripture

Boasting About Tomorrow

13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

Observation

The future is not something which one can predict. Do not be boastful and think that you can be the master of your faith. GOD is in charge.

Application

 Put your trust  in him and be grateful for what you receive from GOD.  Don't be tempted by the ways of the WORLD which gives you false hope. 

Prayer.

Dear LORD,

I entrust my life to you. I know that you alone know my future and lead me where I need to be.

AMEN. 

James Jan Bible Studies - Week 3 - Day 5

Scripture
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Observation
Do not resist being together with GOD. He will protect you if you submit yourself to him.

Application
 Focus on GOD and keeping the word and not the ways of the WORLD.  Stay away from temptations and the ways of the Devil. 

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
help me submit myself to you and protect me from evils.
AMEN. 

James Jan Bible- Week 3- Day 4

Scripture

You adulterous people,[a] don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us[b]? 6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
    but shows favor to the humble.

Observation

GOD doesn't condone people who behave according to the ways of the world.  His way is not the way of the world.

Application

 GOD tells us to reject the ways of the world and follow him. We can only be friends with one not both.  

Prayer

Dear LORD,

help me not to be attracted by the temptations of this world and live in sin.
